This stamp is flying around in my head since several weeks. I'm not able to use stamps
(still not a big friend of premium memberschips etc) but I really like collecting them. I'm really picky about them though because stamps tell a lot about you and I don't want to fav something with a message that doesn't represent my thoughts.
So, I was looking for some good OC stamps but I have to admit, I was a little bit dissapointed. So I decided to make one for myself.
The message is easy...
My OCs are not only children of my mind, they are a very important part of myself. They represent different goals, subjects or even images of myself how I would've been if things changed in my life. Some might know that I have a very....let's say strange/difficult way to handle OCs. I don't want to explain this now because it would need years to write down every detail.
I admit I'm really tempted to write a little essay about OCs and their meaning in a persons psyche/life....so..who knows....maybe..one day....

You gave them characteristics of people you met in your life no matter if the experience was good or bad. An OC doesn't have to inherit something positive of you. It always depends what you consider "your soul". In my case I consider every kind of experience that I made as part of my soul.
I also have characters that are absolutely loathsome simply because they are a part of the story. Murderers, torturers, etc but I still consider them a part of me because I have experience with that subject whether through movies and media or through happenings in my life.
The "soul" part is only my way to show my direct connection to everything I create or work with. I put my soul in every single work no matter if it's something positive or negative.
The stamp doesn't need to fit for everybody though. There are many people that do not really care about their original characters or work in general and that's okay too.

Anyway, it was nice to read about another point of view. It's always interesting to see what other people think of their characters and their connection with them.
