Something quick before the main part of this journal starts, I went through my gallery and pushed all my deviations in the correct folders. Also made some icons for them.

Now, for the fun part...

Some people already know that I'm allergic to the term "Furry". I don't really like it when my characters are called "furries". Why so?
Let me explain that a little. I have my own definition of the term "Furry", that's why.
You don't have to agree with it but since this is a major problem of the furry-fandom I want to explain my point of you. For me, there is a difference between Furry and Anthro.

Furry:
In my eyes, Furries are humans in animal skin. They have a job like humans. They eat like humans (I want to talk about this point later). They live in flats and houses like humans. They go to the grocery store, play computer games, etc, etc.
For me, they are nothing else than humans in an animal's skin. They have nothing left of their true inner self except of their looks and some abilities.

Anthro:
Anthros are animals, that have some human abilities. They can walk upright and their paws/feet/whatever same as their anatomy has slightly changed to a more human like appearance. Same as their level in intelligence. Their mind is high evolved but still, it keeps animal instincts. They'd always prefer to live outside, in caves, hunt instead of buying their meal etc. They did not turn into something like "a fur-coated human".


Since there is a big difference between "Furry" and "Anthro" for me I thought about many things of the "Furry-Fandom". One point I hate from whole heart is the "food" question.
This is also one of the major differences and a main reason why I like to keep Furries and Anthros sepperated. For example, a Furry-Fox would never eat a Furry-Rabbit. Why? Because they are far too much humanlike. They don't need to hunt or to chase after their food. They can go out and buy it in the store. But here is the next question. You, Mister Furry-Fox are a carnivore. Where does the meat in stores come from? By most Furs you'll get the answer "In this world, their are Furries and normal animals" OBJECTION!
Wouldn't it still be considered murder? Wouldn't it still be ethically wrong since you don't know if the Furry-Rabbit by your side is relatet to that "non furry"-rabbit you just bought in the store? In the terms of evolution it would be totally nuts to just let some individuals of one species get intelligent and let them become "Furries" while the exact same species keeps dumb as nuts (don't want to say animals are dumb!) and stays your everyday-meat.
Now let's see the same problem with Anthro's. Mr. Furry-Fox is now Mr. Anthro-Fox and he meets Mr. Anthro-Rabbit in the woods. Let's say, Mr. Anthro-Fox is hungry. I guess he'd definitely get a bite of that long eared jumper. Why? Cause that's nature! Animals are having enough brain and abilities to survive so why should they evolve even further and abandon their old ways? Yes, making them Anthros would also be considered and changing them to far but still, being Anthro makes more sense to me than being "a fur-coated human".


So far for my part. I don't want to offend anyone but this is MY opinion of the whole Furry/Anthro fandom. Since I can't just ignore subjects like that I start working with them in my brain. I wanted to test myself. I wanted to create something like a good base between both. An Anthro, which is actually more like a human but still keeps some typical animal trademarks. I wanted to create a "Furry" I can live with. Working with the food subject is also something I enjoy greatly in this new project.

That's why "Blitzkrieg" was born.
This comic features everything about the big "problems" I see in the furry-fandom same as ethical conflicts between predator and prey.



So, enough ranting and babbling for a day....
